Destroying World Order: Analyzing the War In Iraq And The Middle East
(January 6, 2007) — Alex Jones was joined on air this week by an eminent American Professor, Dr. Francis A. Boyle, to discuss the current situation in Iraq, the wider implications for international relations, and the ruthless mentality of the Straussian Neoconservatives who have seized global power in the early twenty-first century.
Dr. Boyle is a leading American professor, practitioner and advocate of international law. He was responsible for drafting the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, the American implementing legislation for the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention.
He served on the Board of Directors of Amnesty International (1988-1992), and represented Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Court. Dr. Boyle teaches international law at the University of Illinois, Champaign. He holds both a Doctor of Law Magna Cum Laude and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University.
Dr. Boyle began the interview by referring to the execution of Saddam Hussein because: it has stirred up the case for escalating the war in Iraq; and it has disgusted a large percentage of the international community.
Dr. Boyle stressed his belief that this execution was very carefully staged-managed with the intention to deliberately stir up sectarian violence in Iraq, and thus vindicate the Bush administration’s strategy of escalation.
“We have to understand that this entire show trial was organized directly out of the White House. It had already been reported, even in the New York Times, that there was a lawyer on the White House staff who was in charge of running the whole thing. They were running this whole show, it was all paid for by th e United States,” said Boyle.
“The Death Penalty for Saddam came down just before the November elections. And the execution itself, the hanging, the lynching — I don’t know what else you’d call it — was designed for political reasons. His execution under these circumstances violated the Third Geneva Convention of 1949. We had originally designated him as a prisoner of war, which the Convention prohibited for a head of state, thus setting up this kangaroo court proceeding that was run out of the White House.”
The trial was strictly controlled because, had it not been, mountains of evidence [1] would have poured forth detailing how criminal elements within the U.S. government brought Saddam to power, maintained him in office, underwrote his tyranny, and rewarded his aggression.
RUSHED EXECUTION OF SADDAM SERVED THREE NEOCON PURPOSES
Dr. Boyle suggested that the timing of Saddam Hussein’s execution served three purposes: first, the death of the 3000th US soldier in Iraq was fast approaching, and the quick orchestration of Saddam’s execution was a good way to get the press to distract the public’s attention from that unpopular fact; second, the execution was rushed forward in order to intentionally stir up more violence in the region, and thus provide a pretext for sending more troops into the Middle East; third, “there is another factor of deliberately stirring up sectarian animosity between the Shia and the Sunni, which this lynching was also designed to do.”
Dr. Boyle went on to say that National Security Advisors and leading Neocon hawks Elliott Abrams and Stephen Hadley gave the executioners the green light with the intention of deliberately stirring up sectarian tensions, not only in Iraq between the Shia and the Sunni, but also throughout the Muslim world. So they picked Islam’s holiest day, Eid al-Adha, to give the go-ahead to lynch Saddam, knowing full well that it would stir up tensions all across the Middle East.
“If you look at the wire services today, you will see that they have now turned Saddam Hussein into a martyr. Now I’ve done a lot of work in the Arab and Islamic world, and prior to this, everyone I knew just thought Saddam Hussein was pretty much a butcher. But now they have turned him into a martyr, and this is fine as far as the Neoconservatives are concerned,” Boyle stated.
He pointed out that the same philosophy is being used today that was used by the United States during the Iran-Iraq War, when the Henry Kissinger said, “We want them all to kill each other off.”
The Neocons are globalist power-mongers who do NOT want a stable Arab and Islamic world because: it could provide for a significant challenge to Western dominance of their energy supplies; and it would also diminish the Western arms industry, which profits greatly from their regional conflicts.
Dr. Boyle knows whereof he speaks. He acquired intimate knowledge of the mentality of those who are now running the show when he went through the same Ph.D. program at Harvard as did Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski [2], and even had the same International Relations teacher, Hans Morgenthau [3] — whom many consider to be the father of International Relations as an independent academic discipline.
Dr. Boyle stated that when he was 21 years old, Dr. Morgenthau offered to call up Kissinger and get Boyle a job on his White House Staff, which he declined. Dr. Boyle attended university at the same time as Paul Wolfowitz, John Ashcroft and other leading Neocons.
“You have to understand the Neocon mentality; as I was saying, I went to the University of Chicago, the home of the Neocons, I entered there in 1968 as an undergraduate. Their founder, Leo Strauss, had just retired from the political science department. However, I was trained by his foremost student, protegé, co-author, and literary executor, Joseph Cropsey [4]. So I went right through the entire Neocon Program,” Dr. Boyle asserted.
“They are still going forward with their plans to carve up the Middle East and re-make it in the Neoconservative image. They encouraged the Israeli ‘war’, massacre, or whatever you want to call it, against Lebanon and Israel’s war against and massacre of the Palestinians, both this summer.
“And now they are planning for a war against IRAN, a bombing campaign that very well could turn into World War Three. And that escalation would not bother them at all, these Neoconservatives. Indeed, from their perspective, how else are they going to retrieve this quagmire situation they have gotten us into?”
THE NEOCONS ARE REALLY NEO-NAZIS: THE CHICAGO-HARVARD NEXUS
Dr. Boyle described the little-known heritage that the Neocon elite are carrying on. Basically, they follow the doctrine of University of Chicago political guru LEO STRAUSS. Before Strauss emigrated to the United States, his mentor in Germany was Carl Schmitt [5]. And CARL SCHMITT went on to become the most notorious NAZI law professor of that era, justifying every hideous atrocity that the Nazis inflicted on their victims.
Boyle continued, “The Neocon ideas come through Leo Strauss — and there is a book about this if you are interested by Professor Shadia Drury [6, 7]. THE NEOCONS HAVE BEEN THOROUGHLY SCHOOLED IN THE STRAUSSIAN AND SCHMITTIAN THEORY, WHICH IS BASICALLY NAZI THEORY, AND THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY NEO-NAZIS. WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT. And I think people have a difficult time coming to grips with it, because it seems so alien to our tradition.
“I spent seven years at Harvard getting three degrees after I graduated from the University of Chicago, and again, I went through exactly the same program that produced Kissinger and Brzezinski, because I wanted to be trained exactly like these people, and to be able to think like them, so I could know what they’re up to, and hopefully come out and turn it against them.”
“Harvard has learned nothing from the Vietnam war, and today at Harvard as we speak, they are still training major war criminals and warmongers such as Kissinger.”
THE NEOCON ENDGAME IS WORLD DOMINATION
Professor Boyle believes that what we are seeing now is the endgame, their “go-for-broke” strategy. These Neo-Nazis — the Neocons from the University of Chicago — are going for world domination and control. And that club of hyper-militaristic control freaks now includes President Bush, who at one point publicly bragged that he had appointed at least twenty Straussian Neocons to his administration.
The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were pre-planned for quite some time, not only by the Israelis but also by the Pentagon. They are, in fact, petro-wars because they have been executed to seize and steal at least two-thirds of the world’s energy resources.
According to Dr. Boyle, the Neocon power elite plan to hold onto these Middle Eastern oilfields because they regard them as the future of the world economy, so they are not going to give them up.
WAR WITH IRAN ESCALATING INTO WORLD WAR III
The Neo-Nazis understood that if they made this major power-grab, this play for world domination, by launching brutal wars of aggression against Iraq and Afghanistan, that Iran and Syria would perhaps have to be the next phase (if we don’t stop them), and they knew that there would be massive resistance by the American people.
Dr. Boyle compared the current situation to that of the Vietnam War. He encourages people to engage in large-scale peaceful non-violent civil resistance in order to expose these war criminals, who wish to escalate their perpetual war strategy to the next level purely to make more money and consolidate even more absolutized power.
NEOCONs INTENTIONALLY DESTROYED IRAQ
“The Neocon strategy always was to destroy Iraq as a viable nation-state because, as Samuel Huntington points out in his Clash Of Civilizations, Iraq was probably the only Arab nation-state that could have provided leadership to the Arab world in a confrontation with the West over the energy supplies. So the Neocons decided Iraq had to be destroyed,” Boyle stated.
