ACTION ALERT for Ukrainian Students
Yurii Sheliazhenko & WeMoveEurope
Ukrainian students of European universities are prohibited from leaving Ukraine, beaten because of mobilization. War machine in Ukraine is as much brutal as in Russia while the war escalates…
(September 27, 2022) — Hello world! It’s us, Ukrainian students who are enrolled all over the planet, and who our government forbids to study abroad.
We’ve being at the border control post Shehyni for the last eight days and we continue to gather every day and demand for a constitutional right to study to be fulfilled.
One of us was brutally beaten up by border guards just because he wanted to study.
They are abusing us, they are shutting us down. That’s the price we are paying for our education.
Please, people of the free world, help us, appeal to the Ukrainian government and ask them to let Ukrainian students study abroad.
A right to study is a right to live.

ACTION ALERT: Please Support This Petition
Russia, Belarus, Ukraine: Protection and asylum for deserters and conscientious objectors to military service
This petition is run by Connection e.V., Int. Fellowship of Reconciliation, European Bureau for Conscientious Objection and War Resisters’ Int.
To the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel and to the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola
We ask you to:
– Grant protection and asylum to deserters and conscientious objectors from Belarus and the Russian Federation!
– Urge the Ukrainian government to stop persecuting conscientious objectors to military service and to guarantee them a full right to conscientious objection!
– Open the borders to those who oppose war at great personal risk in their country!
Why Is this Important?
For more than half a year, the Russian Federation has been waging a war of aggression in Ukraine, with devastating consequences. There seems to be no end in sight. Yet we know that men and women on all sides are evading the crimes of war. Tens of thousands are fleeing the Russian Federation and Belarus to avoid being recruited for the war. Thousands are leaving Ukraine because they see their human right to conscientious objection in danger. They are all our hope for overcoming violence.
Join Us:
Every recruit can be a conscientious objector, every soldier a deserter. Let’s support those who refuse to kill and end war together! #ObjectWarCampaign #StandWithObjectors
More Information:
In June 2022, 60 organizations from 20 countries sent an appeal to the European Parliament, detailing why protection and support for deserters and conscientious objectors on all sides of the Ukrainian war is necessary and right. There have already been discussions about this in the European Parliament. With your signature you will help to give the appeal the necessary weight. We want to hand over the signatures in a joint high-profile action on Human Rights Day, December 10, in Brussels.
