No More Money for Massacres:
Call for a Lasting Ceasefire
If Not Now
Dear President Biden,
We are US Jews in support of an immediate, lasting ceasefire — and we are calling on you to stop providing weapons for Israel’s assault on Gaza.
Let us be clear: We do not want one more Palestinian child to be killed by US bombs. We do not want one more family to be wiped out while an administration that we voted for vetoes ceasefire resolutions at the United Nations.
We want a full hostage exchange — everyone for everyone — to reunite families. We do not want any more mosques, schools, or hospitals to be destroyed by the Israeli military — making a thriving future impossible for generations to come.
President Biden, US Jews Are Calling for a Ceasefire
For the sake of the memories of the 1,200 Israelis killed on October 7. For the sake of the 30,000 Palestinians, over 12,000 of whom are children, who have been killed in the 150 days since, for the sake of everyone in Gaza still alive but fearing death at the hands of US-funded bombs and blockades.
For the sake of everyone still held captive — Israeli and Palestinian — still waiting to return home to their loved ones. For the sake of the millions of Palestinians displaced and facing starvation. For the sake of everyone across the region who could be dragged by Netanyahu’s belligerence into a broader war. For the tens of thousands of lives that could be saved if there is a ceasefire now.
We need you to call for a lasting ceasefire and refuse to send any more funding for weapons to the Israeli government’s war on Gaza.
Over 100,000 votes for “Uncommitted” in Michigan proved what the movement for ceasefire has been saying for months: by insisting on backing the Israeli government’s war on Gaza, you risk handing the 2024 election to Donald Trump.
So if you cannot call for a lasting ceasefire for the above reasons, then do so for the sake of everyone who has reason to fear another term of Donald Trump and the white nationalist movement he represents.
Every day that you wait costs more lives. The future of the region, and the country, hangs in the balance.
Signed….
