(December 4, 2024) — In this interview with Piers Morgan, Jeffrey Sachs says evidence has come out that Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu was behind US wars in Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Syria (via proxies) and possibly Iran. Netanyahu even wrote a book about it.
The US was doing Israel’s bidding, but I suppose the US saw it all as useful to weaken Russia and its allies. Netanyahu gave the US list of seven countries that the US should take out. That list was given to Wesley Clark, the Supreme Commander of NATO, says Sachs.
Sachs says there are many experts who think that the CIA was behind a false-flag chemical attack that was blamed on the Assad regime in Syria. Piers asked if Obama would do such a dastardly deed. Sachs replied: Obama probably didn’t know about it. But the CIA sure does things like that. Obama had said that chemical weapons were a red line. But the US didn’t respond immediately (possibly because the CIA was behind it).
Piers asks Sachs: aren’t you always supporting vile dictators such as Assad and Putin? Sachs says: the CIA was involved in 90 or 100 regime change operations. The US shouldn’t be meddling in other countries. Obama said “Assad must go!”
Piers asks Sachs whether he supports arrest warrants against Putin and Assad. Sachs says the international courts should be empowered to work.
Sachs blames NATO expansion for the war in Ukraine. Briezinskii’s book, The Grand Chessboard, describes NATO expansion and how Russia would have no choice but to go along with it. Just like the Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse, Russia doesn’t want US client states and missiles along its borders.
The Minsk agreements were a possible solution but they weren’t enforced. The war in Ukraine is about US attempts to maintain hegemony. Sachs says the war ends if Trump puts up the phone and says: NATO enlargement was a mistake. Half his aides know it, says Sachs.
