ADEN, Yemen (December 15, 2024) — The Houthi military authorities said on Sunday that the US and British aircraft have conducted “a new aggression” against targets in Hodeida, a strategic province in western Yemen along the Red Sea coast.

According to the report, the allied forces targeted the At-Tuhayta district in the southern part of Hodeidah, though specific details about the aerial bombardment were not immediately disclosed.

Meanwhile, local figures close to the Houthi group said that “an airstrike targeted a key military site of the Houthis in Hodeidah.”

Since November 2023, the Houthi group has been conducting missile and drone attacks on what it said were “Israeli-linked” ships in regional waters and beyond, as well as targets in Israel, to show solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid their conflict with Israelis.

In response, the US-British naval coalition stationed in the region has since January conducted air raids and missile strikes against Houthi targets to deter the group.

This US Attack Could Change Everything
Beyond Military

(December 13, 2024) — The US Air Force, on October 17, launched one of the most deadly assets in its arsenal against Houthis in the Red Sea. The reason behind this attack is believed to be in retaliation to a former attack on an American oil tanker in the Red Sea by Houthi rebels.

Does this mean America has finally directly stepped into the Middle-Eastern conflict? Or, is this the start of something far larger and potentially apocalyptic? Let us answer this in a bit more detail.

(December 10, 2024) — Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched multiple drones and a missile at three commercial ships being escorted in the Gulf of Aden by US Navy ships, a US official said Tuesday. The three US affiliated flagged ships were sailing east toward Djibouti.

Houthi rebels said that they also targeted American destroyers. The Iran-backed Houthis have targeted shipping through the key waterway for more than a year, attacks they say are meant to force an end to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza.
