World BEYOND War Condemns the
Latest Escalation of the Genocide in Gaza
World BEYOND War
(March 22, 2025) — As Israel continues its brutal bombardment of the Gaza Strip, killing over 600 men, women and children (at least 200 children have been slaughtered during the last few days), we express our profound regret and condemnation, but not surprise. A three-phase ceasefire agreement was signed by the Palestinians and the Israelis, and there was a significant, but far from complete, cessation of Israeli bombing during the first phase.
As the time period for that phase drew to a close, Israel and the United States proposed changes to the subsequent phases; those phases had already been agreed upon. Israel and the US were within their rights to propose changes, but not to violate a signed agreement because Palestine refused to accept them.
Yet this was not acceptable to Israel, which violated the agreement by resuming full-scale bombing of the Gaza Strip.
We call on all nations that believe in international law and human rights, two pillars of civilized, peaceful society that Israel and the US disdain, to demand an immediate end to this genocide.
We encourage all world leaders to immediately place sanctions on Israel; to cease all military, business and academic alliances with it, and to pledge billions of dollars to rebuilding the Gaza Strip. At the same time, we urge all nations to demand an end to the brutal, violent repression also occurring in the West Bank.
As an organization committed to seeing the end of the institution of war in the world, we oppose all war. What is happening in the Gaza Strip is state-sanctioned mass murder, which all war is, and it must stop. We join our voices with those around the world demanding an end to this cruel slaughter.
